Before embarking on a month-long tour throughout the Philippine islands, Ms. Michele Burnat requested a custom day trip with Bird Finder Philippines to Bangkong Kahoy Valley on the slopes of Mt. Banahaw. Bird Finder Ph guides Djop Tabaranza and Cris Ceriban accompanied her on the 1-day custom birding tour.

A total of 30 bird species on the trip, 21 (70%) of which are Philippines endemics, and 6 species are found only in Luzon. Among those seen are Bundok Flycatchers, Luzon Sunbird, Luzon Hornbill, Scale-feathered Malkoha, Chestnut-faced Babblers, Luzon Flamebacks, and Philippine Hanging-parrots.

Michele got at least 26 LIFERS on her first birding day in the Philippines.
